LOW ECONOMY KILLS LOVE
Today i witness my father cry. The tears rolling down his face, made me want to cry as well.I never saw my dad cry before,it broke my heart. My grandma is 89 years old. Shes very old, she’s slowly losing strength and her memory isn’t to good anymore. Well, She lives in Vietnam.My dad lives in America.When my dad was younger, he use to live in Vietnam with his mom and his siblings. But that time there was the Vietnam war.My dad had no choice but to leave and go to America.Yes, My dad was considered as an immigrate. But he is now a U.S citizen.He had to leave his family and cross the ocean.Now he has a job as a car mechanic. Everyday he goes to work at 7am until 6pm.His job, isn’t the dream job every man wants. He has to work his butt off. He once got hurt badly and now he still suffers from it.He got tetanus from stepping on a rusty nail at work.But he’s all better now after his operation.He once got robbed at his work, two masked men walked in around closing time and pointed a gun to his head.He only worked alone with his boss.They took his wallet, everything they had they took.Luckily they spared my dad’s life.He once got fooled by his own boss. His boss told him to give in down payment before working.2,000, all gone. His boss was never found. Now he’s working in a different car repair shop.Thank god, nothing has happen. My dad, losted my mom’s love. When my dad was unemployed he was on a raged to gamble.Every night he would go to the casinos. Yes,sometimes he wins. But casinos are just luck. And when you run out of luck you run out of money.We had to sell the house. We had to move into a apartment.He finally stop gambling and got a decent job.Now, the economy is very low.No cars are coming in to get fixed, and when there isn’t any cars, no money is produced.
” Do you miss grandma” before he could even talk. Tears came out of his eyes.”Of course.But i can’t do anything about it. I do want to come visit her. I haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s getting very old, and all i want to do is be beside her. But i just can’t. If i go i will lose my job.The economy is already low. My boss is already thinking about firing me, or the nicer words are”Letting me go.” So my boss wouldn’t let me go on vacation for even 1 week.” Tears rushed down his eyes. Watching him cry. Watching his pain, Made me cry. He finally stopped the tears and said. “I miss her a lot, But i can’t do anything about it.”
I don’t care what anyone says my dad is the strongest person i know. My dad lefted his family. Came to America to work his ass off. Now my dad can’t even see his own mother. My dad is a very brave person. Because you guys know you can’t last one week without your mom. Try lasting 40 years.
